Kimber | Eleven Months

My baby girl is growing up so very fast!! I can't believe we're closing in on a year since the most perfect thing in the world entered my life! Everyday you change and amaze me with each and every squeal, step, scoot and smile!

Feedings 
I love that you're on such a routine! When you wake up you get an 8-ounce bottle. After an hour or so of playing and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse it's time for your breakfast of oatmeal and/or fruit! Before nap time you will sometimes have a small 6-ouce bottle. After nap time it's about lunch time and you enjoy some sort of mixed baby food. Another bottle before your afternoon nap then dinner time when mommy gets home. We are trying to feed you more and more bits of our food but we're careful since you still are only rocking two teeth. Most of the time you get a mixed baby food and bites of our food. Then at bed-time you get an 8-ounce bottle! 

 You love tomatoes!

 And watermelon too!

Sleeping
You're sleep schedule is pretty great! Any more you go to bed around 8/8:30 and wake up about somewhere between 7:30 and 8:30, sometimes later! You're also on a normal nap time schedule too! You'll nap for about an hour or so around 11 a.m. and again around 2:30/3:30 p.m.! It's pretty awesome I must say!

Play hard, crash hard! Momma loves the snuggles!

Clothes/Diapers
You're mostly in 12 month clothes but you can still fit in most 6-9 month clothes too. You're way too big for 6-9 month jammies though! Mommy was on a frantic search for bigger jammies but you're all good to go now! Even though you don't wear much in the way of shoes size 3's work most of the time but those are getting pretty small!

You're still in size 3 diapers. We're debating going up soon, so we'll see.  

Teeth
You still have only two teeth and mommy finally got a picture, kind of!

Milestones
You're such the furniture cruiser! You will walk all over as long as you have something to hang on to, and even then you don't really hold anything, you just kind of touch it. We know you can walk but you're in no hurry to do it! Maybe by your birthday?!

Kimber Likes

* The sound of your voice! You talk and squeal all day long. It's really so sweet! 

* Playing! You have so many fun toys and you love each of them equally!

* All your stuffed animals!

* Gavin - man, you get so excited any time Gavin is around! I hope you two will be good friends for a long time!

Other News:

This month you attended your very first 4-H fair and were even in the parade!

 Walking in the parade for the Make the Break 5K!

Mommy and Daddy were so proud! You liked all the animals but took the most interest in pigs and cows!! We have us a future 4-Her in the house!

We got to go help Miss Emma celebrate her second birthday (and announce her promotion to Big Sister!) early in August! As always, we have a blast with the Shughart family and playing with Miss Emma.

Kimber | Ten Months

 Weight: 21.2 pounds (approx)

Height: 29 inches (approx)

Where is time going Kimber?! I can't believe my beautiful girl is TEN MONTHS OLD!!! She brings so much joy and laughter into our lives; we love watching her grow and learn new things. This past month you have mastered pulling yourself up to stand, furniture cruising, dragging things around the house, and walking while pushing things. You are truly amazing and we can't wait to see what changes this month will hold!! Mommy and Daddy love you so much baby girl!

Feedings 
When you wake up you get an 8-ounce bottle of formula and you get another when you go to bed. Since we're mostly fitting in three meals a day now, you only have 3 or 4 bottles in between wake-up and bedtime! You learned how to suck from a straw (that may have been in your ninth month) and do okay drinking water from a sippy cup. We still do oatmeal/fruit for breakfast but sometimes you get real bananas! We also gave you some waffle once and you seemed to like it too! Lunch time and dinner time is usually vegetables or mixed baby food meals. We do give you some things off our plates and you really loved having real spaghetti!! Puffs, Little Crunchers and Yogurt Bites are still a huge hit for snack time! You're such a good little eater and we couldn't be prouder!

Sleeping
You are back to a normal sleeping schedule!!! You will pretty regularly go to bed between 9 and 9:30 at night and get up around 7:30/8. Sometimes you decide bedtime needs to come at about 8:30 and we're okay with that too! And a lot more lately, you've been sleeping for 13 hours! Sometimes you wake up and need your bink but you are starting to find it for your self. We're trying to "sleep train" you and will let you cry for about 5 minutes before we go in to rescue you. Since we have a video monitor, we can watch you and know you're okay. Most of the time you put yourself right back to sleep! 

You've got yourself on a pretty normal nap time schedule too! You'll sleep for an hour or so at about 11 and again at 4. Mommy is liking this time because I get to shower, eat or clean during your precious nap time!

And you always wake up happy!

Clothes/Diapers
You are still in 6-9 month clothes. Some of your shorts and shirts are size 12 month but those are still pretty loose. We don't wear many shoes but when you do, a size 3 works great! 

Still in Size 3 diapers! We finally had to break down and buy diapers for you this month because we FINALLY ran out of diapers from Daddy's Beer & Diaper party we had last July! 

Teeth
You still have only two teeth but you won't let mommy get a picture of them at all!


Milestones
This month we have caught you standing on your own several times! Then you realize it too and plop right back to your hiney! It's too cute!

If we get your play table off the carpet on onto the laminate, you take that thing for a cruise and walk it all over the house! In no time I'm sure you will be walking on your own!

We've also caught you once or twice trying to crawl onto your riding toys and you've kind of mastered climbing off of them too, though not gracefully! You can crawl into the dishwasher these days! We gotta nip that in the bud!

 You love this farm. You open and close the gate all day long!

Other News:

This month you celebrated your First 4th of July!! We had several patriotic outfits to rock out all week!

Mommy finally finished your crib quilt this month! I've only had the fabric and materials since before you were born so I'm happy to finally have it done :)

Mommy took her first long term trip away from you this month. It was hard to leave but I had a blast in Denver at Thirty-One National Conference! You seemed to do great for daddy!

Kimber | Nine Months

 Weight: 20.56 pounds (78 %tile)

Height: 28.5 inches (79 %tile)

My beautiful baby turned nine months old on mommy's birthday (June 24th)! This last month has been a whirlwind of firsts for you baby bear! From crawling, two teeth, furniture cruising and so much more, you have been constantly on the go and changing right before our eyes! Even though lately you've brought on sleepless nights with a vengeance, we love you to the moon and back!

Feedings 
You are eating four 6-ounce bottles of formula a day. You get an 8-ounce bottle when you wake up and go to bed as well.  We bought a few different sippy cups and you're getting the hang of those a lot better but still aren't impressed by them!

We are trying to fit in three meals a day now. Breakfast consists of oatmeal and/or fruit. Lunch consists of mostly veggies and dinner is usually a mixed baby food meal. We're giving you more and more off of our plates too and you really like that! Of course, you still love your Puffs, Little Crunchers and Yogurt Bites for snack time! You're such a good little eater and we couldn't be prouder!

 Yes, you're eating off the floor. Yes, the floor is clean and mommy put those there for you. I don't see the problem with it; we're just building your immune system! :)

Sleeping
If I thought eight months was rough, nine months was down right brutal! AFTER cutting teeth you went through a two week phase where you fought sleep! Mommy or daddy had to rock you for hours til you fell asleep and as soon as we would lie you down you were right back to screaming! Mommy resorted to driving around for an hour a few nights and as soon as we parked you were right back at it! That two week time period was so strange and unlike our baby girl! On a side note though, mommy discovered some classic songs (Sweet Child O'Mine, Nuthin' But a G Thing and Free Fallin to mention a few) on Pandora Lullabye station! While the lack of sleep was tough, the extra cuddles almost made it worth it!

Once you got out of that crazy sleep phase you were pretty much back to a normal 9:30 bedtime and 7 to 8 o'clock wake up time. Sometimes you would wake up needing a bink in the middle of the night but that was manageable! You also went back to waking up smiley and playful! We love that about you!

 Mommy loves pulling you into bed for an extra hour of sleep in the mornings!

 Oh hey there Mom! You were sleeping? Let me open the curtain more and sing with the birdies!

And the positions you wind up in during sleep never cease to amaze me! :)

Clothes/Diapers
You're completely in 6 to 9 month outfits, though I can sneak a few 3-6 month ones in from time to time!  You're still rocking the size 3 shoes quite well! 

Still in Size 3 diapers! We STILL haven't bought a single pack of diapers or wipes! Daddy's Beer & Diaper party was a huge success but we are down to the last box!!

Teeth
Those two teeth finally busted through the week after school let out! You don't show them off much because you love having your tongue out so I don't have any pictures of them yet! Hopefully you'll let me get one soon!


Milestones
In the first two weeks of mommy being home for the summer you were full of milestones! Your first two teeth popped through, you started crawling while we were setting up for Aunt Sarah's wedding reception and you were pulling up and furniture cruising the following week! Slow your roll kiddo! It's been so fun watching you play and learn! With all these new things, you're officially into everything!

     Kimber: "No, I'm not hungry this won't help!" (As you shove a handful into your mouth)

3) "Okay, I'm good now!"

* Water slides! We sent you down the slide with Hunter at Brodie's birthday party and you weren't having it!
