38 Weeks! We're "Patiently" Waiting....

That light was brighter than I thought...ha ha.

How far along? 38 weeks

Maternity clothes? Jeans and tops. Just got a few pants for going back to school and my awesome daddy is making me a few new shirts. This belly gets bigger and bigger.

Sleep: Sleep. Does that even exist anymore? I'm up so much peeing or trying to find the best position I'm pretty sure I don't get any sleep. And the chair and I are becoming good friends too! Ugh, ready for baby girl to be here.

Best moment this week: I can't think of a specific "best" moment. I went shopping with  my mom and finished up some things off my registry on Saturday. On Sunday, I had some pretty regular, strong contractions and we headed to the hospital, ready to meet baby girl! But, we got sent home after 5 hours. :( She wasn't quite ready to make her appearance. At this week's appointment we scheduled induction; hopefully Baby Girl will decide to come sooner!

Miss Anything? Sleep, Sleep, Sleep!  I miss sleep.  I'm starting to miss a cold adult beverage but I'm surviving! In addition, I miss ankle bones!

Movement: Yes! She kicks her momma a lot! It feels like she's in there rolling around all the time!

Food cravings: Anything I don't have to cook, and anything sweet!!!

Anything making you queasy or sick: Not really...bad smells and too hot showers, but that rarely gets me going! So for now, we're just not cursing anything.

Gender: Baby Girl!

Labor Signs: Oh yes! Experienced false labor this week! Those were some wicked contractions!!

Symptoms: Heartburn, fatigue, swelling (hello giant sausage feet!), pregnancy brain, leg cramps, hot flashes (ugh!), contractions, anxiety and anxiousness awaiting her arrival

Belly Button in or out? Depending on where Baby Girl is laying; most of the time my belly button is flat. But more and more lately it's pushing it's way out.

Wedding rings on or off? It's off :( I can still get it on but I swell throughout the day making my ring incredibly snug and uncomfortable but I'm wearing another diamond band for now. I miss my big pretty ring!

Happy or Moody most of the time: I'm pretty happy but I'm noticing the smallest things set me off into crazy, angry or tearful! Dang mood swings!

Looking forward to: Having normal feet back! No matter what shoes I wear at the end of the day I always look at my feet and say, 'holy sausage feet'. With that, I'm looking forward to not playing this waiting game and "any day now" bit. I'm so ready to meet our baby, but if she still needs to grow, I guess I can be patient. Of course, we're looking forward to holding our precious baby girl in our arms; things are so close!!!!

Daddy Moment: Vince was a trooper at the hospital Sunday! He kept trying to make me laugh through the pain; I unfortunately didn't find the humor in it and snapped at him but he was supportive the whole time! We're both ready for the real deal. Can't wait for him to see his baby girl!

37 Weeks...Full Term!!!

I got bored and put some edits on my lovely cell phone picture.
So this is what you get....

How far along? 37 weeks, 1 day

Maternity clothes? Jeans and tops. Just got a few pants for going back to school and my awesome daddy is making me a few new shirts. This belly gets bigger and bigger.

Sleep: Sleep changes daily. The hip and leg pain has set in. Some nights I can get comfy, some nights I toss and turn. I miss actual, restful sleep! And I know Vince does too. When he's not on shift and home with me, he worries about me getting up constantly and he's missing some well deserved rest!

Best moment this week: Reaching full term!! Baby girl can go ahead and make her arrival any time now. Last week, we had a sonogram to check her out; she's looking perfect and right on schedule! Her estimated weight is 6.5lbs (we'll see) and her full head of hair is way down and ready to go! We had another appointment this week; still progressing with the dilation. We also did our pre-registration appointment this week. Now it's just time to sit back and wait! Oh, and I made it through my last wedding of the season on Saturday! I was feeling very huge and tired but I stuck it out and got some great shots for Josh & Hannah!

Gender: Baby Girl!

Labor Signs: Nope! Feeling more contractions but nothing regular. I guess I should be expecting them though since she is head down!

Symptoms: Heartburn, fatigue, swelling (hello giant sausage feet!), pregnancy brain, leg cramps, hot flashes (ugh!), contractions, anxiety and anxiousness awaiting her arrival

Daddy Moment: At our pre-admissions appointment they asked some questions I hadn't thought about yet and Vince swooped in and answered them based on his medical training; so glad he's been there through it all! I've got a good husband and Baby Girl will have an amazing Daddy! Every day, he continues to support me, care for me and get excited for our little girl's arrival. I can't think of one single moment that stands out because he's been awesome; even when I've been tough to be around! And I've been awful tough to be around here lately so I'm thankful he's sticking beside me and not losing total patience with me!

Oh, and here's some of my fave pics from our Maternity Session last week! Thanks again Andrea Stitt Photography!

35 Weeks, 6 Days....Let's Just Call it 36 Weeks!!!!!

A little blurry, a little dark but very thankful Vince was willing to
take one more picture after our maternity shoot tonight.

Best moment this week: When I went to my appointment today she decided to go ahead and check my cervix, not expecting to find anything but, SURPRISE!! We're already dilated to 3! Maybe TMI, but definitely a high for this week. Everything is getting very real! Also, our church hosted an amazing baby shower for us on Sunday. We appreciate everyone who came and showed their love for Baby Girl! Oh, and it's been so great having Vince home for the entire long weekend!

Gender: Baby Girl!

Labor Signs: Nope, thank goodness! Felt a few Braxton Hicks for the first time last week though.

Symptoms: Heartburn, fatigue, swelling (hello giant sausage feet!), pregnancy brain, leg cramps, hot flashes (ugh!)

Belly Button in or out? Depending on where Baby Girl is laying; most of the time my belly button is flat. But more and more lately it's pushing it's way out.

Happy or Moody most of the time: For the most part, happy! But I'm getting sassy! I snapped a couple times this past week; oops!

Looking forward to: Having normal feet back! No matter what shoes I wear at the end of the day I always look at my feet and say, 'holy sausage feet'. I'm also looking forward to seeing some of our maternity pictures!!! We had photos done on Labor Day and I can't wait to get them back! Also, I'm looking forward to celebrating our 2nd Anniversary on September 3rd; I can't believe we've been married for 2 years already!!! This month will also mark 10 full years of being together; that's pretty amazing if I do say so myself. And of course, we're looking forward to holding our precious baby girl in our arms; things are so close!!!!

Daddy Moment: I've got a good husband and Baby Girl will have an amazing Daddy! Every day, he continues to support me, care for me and get excited for our little girl's arrival. I can't think of one single moment that stands out because he's been awesome; even when I've been tough to be around!
